Jack Valenti

A former special assistant to President Johnson, Valenti was invited to join the organisation that represented the interests of Hollywood studios, the MPAA, in 1966. As its president he helped break censorship barriers through self regulation, proving a skilful and effective lobbyist for the industry during his 38 year tenure.
