Tony Tenser

10 August 1920 - 5 December 2007

Producer/Film distributor

An influential figure in 60s British cinema, Tenser and production partner Michael Klinger began making risqué exploitation movies and ended up backing Roman Polanski on Repulsion (1965) and Cul-de-Sac (1966). Later, under the aegis of his company Tigon, Tenser produced The Witchfinder General (1968) and Black Beauty (1971) among others.
