A former BBC stagehand, Sullivan created some of British television’s most enduring situation comedy hits. These include Citizen Smith (1977-80), Just Good Friends (1983-86) and Dear John (1986-87), but his greatest success undoubtedly came with Only Fools & Horses (1981 – 2003) for which he won BAFTAs in 1989 and 1997.
