A Polish born documentarian who found success in the UK, Starecki directed Asylum (1984) and Forget-Me-Not (1985) for the 40 Minutes strand, Canons and Flowers (1996) and Pears On A Willow Tree (1990) also for the BBC, with Dog Eat Dog (1993) and True Love Waits (1995) for Channel 4.
