In the guise of 80s cult favourite Frank Sidebottom – complete with outsized papier maché head – Sievey was a gentle caricaturist of showbusiness mores. As well as frequent guest appearances Frank featured in No, 73 (1986-88), Remote Control (1991) and on Manchester’s Channel M in Frank Sidebottom’s Proper Telly Show (2006).
