Dakar-born Sekka's most memorable role was as Sylvia Syms' Jamaican boyfriend in Flame in the Streets (1961). Other films include Woman of Straw (1964), Khartoum (1965) and The Last Safari (1967). He worked extensively on stage and screen during a varied career, relocating to the US in the 1970s.
