An influential movie producer during a transitional period in Hollywood, Schneider enjoyed his first success as executive producer of The Monkees tv series (1966-68). He executive produced the band’s cult feature Head (1968), the era defining classic Easy Rider (1969), Five Easy Pieces (1970) and The Last Picture Show (1971).
