One of the last surviving Gone With The Wind (1939) cast members, Rutherford played Scarlett’s younger sister Carreen. She was familiar to audiences as Andy Hardy’s sweetheart beginning in You’re Only Young Once (1937) with other films including Pride and Prejudice (1940) and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947).
