Beginning his career in the mailroom at the William Morris Agency, Reuther eventually worked his way into film development and found success as executive producer on Dirty Dancing (1987). He subsequently produced hits including Pretty Woman (1990), Sommersby (1993), The Client (1994), Collateral Damage (2002) and The Ugly Truth (2009).
