Beginning his career as a Design Assistant in 1966, Rawnsley soon graduated to become a highly regarded Designer on a number of television productions including Z Cars, and Principal Designer on To The Manor Born and Some Mother Do ‘Ave ‘Em. In the mid-80s he became a Chief Designer, and retired in 1992 after holding the position of Design Manager.
