James Quinn

Former director of the BFI/Producer

A key architect in the development of the British Film Institute, Quinn was its director from 1957 to 1964. During his tenure, the National Film Theatre was built, the London Film Festival established and BFI-sponsored regional film theatres created. He also produced the films Herostratus (1967) and Overlord (1975).
