As the man who discovered, and married, Sophia Loren Ponti produced many of her films, including Two Women (1960), Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow (1963) and Marriage - Italian Style (1964). His biggest commercial success proved to be Dr Zhivago (1965), with other credits including La Strada (1954) and Blow Up (1966).
