An English actress familiar on television, Oxenford was among the original cast of Coronation Street (1962-63), and appeared in several other series including Man About The House (1973-76), To The Manor Born (1979-81) and Midsomer Murders (2004-08). On radio she was the voice, for many years, of Listen With Mother.
