Although she could claim to have been cinema’s first child star, Osborne outlived the audiences who flocked to films which have themselves largely been lost. But they were hugely popular in their time, and include Little Mary Sunshine (1916), The Little Patriot (1917), Daddy’s Girl (1918) and Miss Gingersnap (1919).
