A versatile comedy performer who began in variety and found early success on radio, O’Neil appeared in films such as Penny Points To Paradise (1951), The Early Bird (1965), Fanny Hill (1983) and The Little Match Girl (1987), and in the television series – opposite her husband – Alfred Marks Time (1959).
