Niemczyk is best known for his role as the older man caught in a bitter romantic rivalry with a young hitchhiker in Polanski's Knife In The Water (1962). His other films include Eroica (1958), Pociag (1959) as well as more recent, international productions such as David Lynch's Inland Empire (2006).
