Camera operator/Cinematographer
For a while associated with David Lean, Newbrook was camera operator on several of Lean’s films including The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) and Lawrence of Arabia (1962). Later work as cinematographer – and sometimes producer – includes The Sandwich Man (1966), with his sole directorial credit being The Asphyx (1972).
