A Jim Henson stalwart, Nelson was man behind many favourite characters on The Muppet Show (1976-81) including Robin and Statler. He reprised many of these in the subsequent feature films, and also worked on other Henson productions including Sesame Street (1970-2009) with characters including the Count, and Fraggle Rock (1983-87).
