A former Miss India, Naidu was feted as one of the most beautiful women in the world. She subsequently starred in such Hindi features as Love of Anuradha (1960) and Yeh Rastey Hain Pyar Ke (1963) as well as early Merchant Ivory productions The Householder (1963) and The Guru (1969).
