Coming late into the profession, Morris had been an artist and teacher before starting his belated acting career. A small role in Jonathan Creek (2004) led to parts in When I’m 64 (2004), A Very Social Secretary and as the bedbound Grandpa George in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).
