A London born filmmaker who co-wrote and produced Two Days, Nine Lives (2001), Monjack subsequently relocated to Hollywood where he was credited with executive producing, Factory Girl (2006). After the sudden death of his wife, actress Brittany Murphy, in December 2009 Monjack occupied himself organising charitable work in her name.
