Frank Middlemass

A character actor of avuncular charm with a rich, warm voice, Middlemass was the fourth actor to play the eponymous patriarch Dan, in The Archers. On television he appeared in the BBC's War and Peace (1973) and may best be remembered for To Serve Them All My Days (1980).
