A prolific, much loved comedy actor in Hindi cinema, notching up 300 films over 40 years, Rajendranath was best known for his performance as Popatlal in the musical Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai (1961). He harboured ambitions in serious drama initially but is credited with revolutionising comedy in Bollywood movies.
