Launched to national prominence by Spike Lee’s documentary The Original Kings Of Comedy (2000), Mac followed this up with The Bernie Mac Show (2001-2006). He also found success in movies such as Friday (1995), Life (1999), Ocean’s Eleven (2001) and its two sequels, Guess Who? (2005) and Soul Men (2008).
