A German actress best known to cinema audiences for her work with Michael Haneke, Lothar starred alongside her husband Ulrich Mühe in Funny Games (1997), and after Mühe’s death featured in The White Ribbon (2009). Her other films include The Piano Teacher (2001), The Reader (2009) and Anna Karenina (2012).
