An American actor long based in Britain, LeParmentier played the role of the hapless Admiral Motti in Star Wars (1977), invoking Darth Vader’s use of the Force in an early scene. He also appeared in such films as Stardust (1974), Rollerball (1975), Superman II (1980) and Octopussy (1983), among others.
