A former executive at US cable network Showtime, Larkin became head of its boxing division in 1986. In the years that followed he brought thrilling fights featuring the likes of Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Frank Bruno, Julio Cesar Chavez, Naseem Hamed and Joe Calzaghe to pay-per-view audiences around the world.
