A busy character actor in British films of the 1950s, Lamble is best remembered as Joyce Grenfell’s fiancé in The Belles Of St Trinian’s (1954) and two sequels. Other movies include The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), Our Man In Havana (1959) and The Trials of Oscar Wilde (1960).
