A performer who found enduring success as a singer, Kitt also brought her talents to bear on film and television. Her best known role was Catwoman in the Batman series (1967-68), with films including St Louis Blues (1958) and later Boomerang (1996), The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) and Holes (2003).
