A former editor of three mass market tabloids, Jameson later reinvented himself as a radio broadcaster and television personality. He brought his own brand of warmth, wit and common sense to programmes such as The Jameson Show (1981), Do They Mean Us? (1984) and BSkyB chat show Jameson Tonight (1990).
