A grizzled Australian character actor, Hunter trained at RADA and worked in rep here before returning home to roles in films including Newsfront (1978), Gallipoli (1981), Muriel’s Wedding (1994), Strictly Ballroom (1992) and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994), also voicing the role of the dentist in Finding Nemo (2003).
