Best-known as the aloof former ballroom dancing champion Yvonne Stewart-Hargreaves, Holland - with screen husband Barry Howard - epitomised the tragi-comic fate of so many characters in the popular sitcom Hi-de-Hi! (1981-88). Other notable roles came in the cult soap opera Crossroads (1966-69) and another Croft-Perry sitcom, Grace and Favour (1982).
