A much loved musical theatre star, Canadian born Hockridge based himself in the UK from the 1950s. He featured in films such as Starlight Serenade (1953), For Better Or For Worse (1954) and King’s Rhapsody (1955), as well as singing on countless television programmes including the 1953 Royal Variety Show.
