As the daughter of playwright Bertold Brecht, Hiob was closely associated with stagings of his work in theatre. She later became familiar in television and film, with roles in television series such as Der Komissar (1970) and films including Regentropfen (1981), Dei Letzte Runde (1983) and Hundert Jahre Brecht (1998).
