Brian Hanrahan

A respected news correspondent, Hanrahan is best remembered for reporting from HMS Hermes during the 1982 Falklands War. A BBC veteran, he reported from Northern Ireland (1980-1981), was Far East correspondent (1983-85) and Moscow correspondent (1986-88). After eight years as a diplomatic correspondent he was made diplomatic editor in 1997.
