A costume designer in opera, ballet and theatre, Hall’s craft was seen in the television versions of his best known productions such as La Boheme (1982) and Otello (1992), as well as the odd foray into film with such works as Doctor Faustus (1967), Giselle (1969) and The Abdication (1974).
