A British actress who moved seamlessly between stage and screen, Gray enjoyed success across a number of genres before retiring from acting in 1952. Her most memorable roles came in The Lambeth Walk (1939), Dangerous Moonlight (1941), Green For Danger (1946), They Made Me A Fugitive (1947) and Obsession (1948).
