A former Liberal MP and stalwart member of BBC Radio 4’s Just A Minute panel, Freud’s versatility and curiosity saw him read his self-penned children’s book Grimble on Jackanory (1971) and make appearances on programmes as varied as Countdown (1988-89), Masterchef (1992) and Question Time (1979-2004) among many others.
