A former child actress whose career blossomed in the 1950s, Francis is best remembered for key roles in Bad Day At Black Rock (1954), Blackboard Jungle (1955) and as Doctor Morbius’s daughter Altaira in Forbidden Planet (1956). She also played the title role in the television series Honey West (1965-66).
