A cinematographer celebrated far beyond his native Sweden, Fischer is best remembered for his collaborations with Ingmar Bergman on The Seventh Seal (1957) and Wild Strawberries (1957). His other films include Summer Interlude (1950), Smiles of a Summer Night (1955), The Face (1958) and Jacques Tati’s television movie Parade (1974).
