Freddie Fields

An influential Hollywood figure from the 1950s on, Fields was a masterful operator who pioneered ‘the package’, a movie pitch to a studio with the stars – his clients – in place. He produced A Star Is Born (1976) for the production company First Artists and subsequently headed worldwide production for MGM/UA.
