Closely associated with one iconic television role, Falk played the dishevelled but brilliant detective Columbo on and off over 35 years from 1968. His film work includes Murder Inc (1960), A Pocketful Of Miracles (1961), Husbands (1970), The In-Laws (1979), Wings of Desire (1987) and The Princess of Bride (1987).
