Francis Essex

Active on several fronts, Essex was a variety producer at the BBC and ITV during the 1950s and 60s. He wrote for many popular television series, composing the theme tune for the family equine drama Follyfoot (1971) and scripting The Shillingbury Blowers (1980) and The Shillingbury Tales (1981) amongst others.
