A stalwart presence on HTV's Welsh language service in the 1970s, Erfyl was a thoughtful presenter and idiosyncratic interviewer who later became Head of Documentary, Religious and Arts Programmes at the station. He was also Controller of HTV in North Wales between 1980 and 1985, thereafter appearing regularly on S4C.
