Born in St. Kitts, Dexter moved to London in 1968 and made his screen debut in sketch show The Real McCoy (1991-1996). He was known for his edgy character comedy and his ability to play with ethnic stereotypes, and also notably starred on Bellamy’s People (2010) and Citizen Khan (2012).
