A personality emblematic of the 1960s, Dee was the former pirate radio DJ who hosted his own BBC chat show, Dee Time (1967). Although stardom was fleeting, he also fronted The Simon Dee Show (1970) at LWT, and took cameos in The Italian Job (1969) and Doctor in Trouble (1970).
