Leggy, lithe and elegant, Charisse was a memorable dance partner for Gene Kelly in the Broadway Rhythm sequence in Singin’ In The Rain (1952), as well as Brigadoon (1954) and It’s Always Fair Weather (1957). She also danced with Fred Astaire in The Band Wagon (1953) and Silk Stockings (1957).
