Flamboyant US celebrity chef Carrier moved into broadcasting in the 70s after the success of many cookery books and his own North London restaurant. Over the next 20 years he presented Carrier's Kitchen, Food, Wine and Friends, The Gourmet Vegetarian and Carrier's Caribbean, a 12-part series for BBC TWO.
