As a young BBC producer Burnett created the influential interview programme Face to Face (1959-62). His other credits include Is This Your Problem? (1955), Lifeline (1960), The Late Show (1966) and documentaries such as Afrikaner (1970), Chastity, Poverty and Obedience (1975), White Rhodesia (1977) and Spirits From The Past (1980).
