A comedy writer best known for his work with Morecambe & Wise, Braben began providing material for the duo in 1969 after they re-joined the BBC. He scripted their most fondly remembered programmes, including several Christmas specials, and also wrote for other stars such as Ken Dodd and Ronnie Corbett.
